Arambol Beach

Arambol Beach is located in the northern part of Goa. The beach is approximately 50 km away from Panaji, the capital city of Goa. There are also regular buses that connect Mapusa with Arambol. The village comes alive on market days and people often take a boat to Anjuna. Getting around Arambol should not be a worry. You will get enough cabs and motorcycles on rent to facilitate your tour. The best season to visit the beach is between November and February.

This is the best place for persons who are in search of tranquility. If you want to be with yourself and enjoy some quiet time on silky sand and bath in cool water of the sea then you should pack your bags for Arambol beach. Stretches across miles, this uninterrupted beach-head is a tourist's paradise.

The place is also famous for its sulphur pits and freshwater lakes and these has become one of the popular tourist attractions.

Arambol Beach is quite a solitude. If you want to come to Arambol Beach you can stay at places nearby but there are no beach hotels as such. There are buses that will take you from Mapusa or Chopdem to Arambol. There are, however, plenty of hotels in the vicinity and your stay at these hotels will never be to far away from the beach. The hotels at Goa offer splendid hospitality and you will surely love it.

Special Destination:
While at Arambol you must visit the Teracol Fort. This fort was built by the Portuguese rulers of Goa and it acted as a sort of defense mechanism. This historic fort is now used as a luxury hotel. There is a freshwater lake here. The lake is beautiful because it is in the midst of a thick forest nestled in the folds of a valley. This lake is fed by hot spring. The beach of Arambol is the best place for swimming and para-gliding. You can also go for a boat trip to watch the frolic of the dolphins. You must taste some Italian dishes while you are here.
